If you have a commercial building and want to enhance the aesthetics, you should consider changing the doors. There are many types of doors you can choose from, including the three types of glass doors listed below.

Architectural Glass Doors

Architectural glass has a variety of textures and patterns to make the doors look beautiful and unique.  This type of glass is aesthetic but also functional. This is because you can use this type of glass to maximize light entry or to determine how much light you want to enter your building. For example, you can choose frosted glass to minimize the amount of sunlight. You can also put etches into parts of the glass. This separates the etched areas from the clear glass areas, so sun only gets through part of the window.

For commercial buildings, text or logos are often etched into the glass. You could put a message on the glass, such as something inspirational like a quote. Architectural glass is also safe as you can use toughened, reinforced, and laminated glass, which makes it much harder to break.

Frameless All Glass Doors

Frameless all glass doors are elegant and work great for your main entrance doors. Instead of a frame, these doors have either patch fittings or top and bottom rails. When looking at the doors, you will only see glass, however.

As with architectural glass, instead of clear glass, you could choose glass with designs etched into it. This could be the logo of your business or the name of your company. You could also choose frosted glass to give you a little privacy. No matter what you choose, your clients will be impressed when they walk up to your building and see these beautiful doors.

All glass doors do have weight, width, and height limitations. Also, they are limited in how much they can hold up against air filtration and water.

Aluminum Framed Doors

You will often see aluminum framed doors on commercial buildings. This is because this type of door is cost-effective. They are available in a variety of colors and styles. These doors are also thermally broken so they can improve the thermal performance of your building.

These doors have reinforced metal corners, so you do not have to worry about the weight or thickness of the glass. This is because the metal corners transfer the weight of the glass load to the hinges that are installed on each side of the door. This also prevents the door from sagging.

Aluminum framed doors work well if you have a lot of customers coming in and out of your building.
